Meet the Step Up interns Kira Richards and Sasha Wiltshire聽
Kira Richards and Sasha Wiltshire are the inaugural participants and recent winners of the Travel Media Awards Step Up internship scheme. These talented individuals are set to begin their internships this summer, bringing fresh perspectives to the world of travel media publishing and PR.
Kira Richards:
Kira Richards, a recent graduate from City, University of London, is eager to immerse herself in travel media publishing and PR. With a background in journalism, she鈥檚 enthusiastic about exploring the behind-the-scenes aspects of producing exciting projects.
鈥淚鈥檓 excited to learn more about travel media publishing and PR, especially with my training as a journalist. It鈥檒l be interesting to see what happens on the other side of producing exciting projects, which I typically contribute to or consume, with two established and successful companies,鈥� said Kira.
Sasha Wiltshire:
Sasha Wiltshire, an undergraduate at the University of Central Lancashire, is passionate about making travel journalism accessible to all. She鈥檚 particularly interested in understanding the elements that constitute quality travel journalism and aims to make a significant contribution to the field.
“I want to learn what makes good travel journalism. I believe it鈥檚 important for everyone to have equal opportunities and I think journalism offers a unique way to share knowledge about travel. I鈥檓 also excited to meet industry professionals who can help me get into the field of travel journalism,鈥� said Sasha.
